Pitchford v. Cain
Supreme Court Decision
PB principal Joe Perkovich argued in SCOTUS on behalf of his and Joe Welling’s capital client Terry Pitchford on Tuesday March 31, 2026, following cert grant in mid-December. With the astute partnership of Hogan Lovells, the pleadings and Joe’s masterful oral argument attracted the very active and focused attention of the Court in argument that ran over two hours. We expect a decision near the end of the Court’s term. Click here for the audio or PDF of the argument.
We also acknowledge the far-ranging insightful research support of numerous Washington University School of Law post-conviction practicum students.
